  1. Consumers bearing the cost of a tariff, that’s how tariffs work. A high demand item like avocados won’t suffer a significant drop in sales, so no drop in imports.

    The money raised goes directly to the US Federal treasury.

    The foreign “adversary” pays nothing.

    It’s fun to joke about guacamole, but we are going to being hit with this new tax on a full range of products coming from afar.

    The GOP used to be anti-tax. They’ve just executed the biggest tax hike of the past 50 years.
