  1. **Ingredients:**

    * 1C Oil
    * 1.5C Flour
    * 1 sm can Tomato Paste
    * 3 sm 8oz can Tomato Sauce
    * 8C Hot Water
    * Salt & Pepper to taste


    1. Brown oil and flour into a roux stirring frequently until caramel in color.
    2. Add tom paste, tom sauce and water, stir until blended and all lumps are gone.
    3. Season with salt and pepper.
    4. Serve over split biscuits.


    **NOTE:** If roux is not cooked long enough it will not thicken well. Stir almost constantly because it will burn if left unattended, very quickly.
