This week I found out that “The man who sold the world” isn’t an original song from Nirvana and I couldn’t believe that a) I found out about this in 2019 and b) The Nirvana cover is better than the original IMO. I’d like to know which other covers are better than the original song and, maybe, be surprised by the fact that some songs I thought were original are actually covers.

  1. I have an opinion of The Man Who Sold the World as well. The cover by Midge Ure, to me, sounds even more Bowie, even thought it isn’t him, than the actual Bowie version.

  2. The Last in Line cover by Tenacious D originally from Dio. And honestly a couple other songs on the tribute album This is your life I find better than the originals
