  2. >Quoting the actual poem to Cuccinelli—which definitely does not place a burden on immigrants to “stand on their own two feet”—Burnett said the poem about accepting those “yearning to breathe free” is what Lazarus said America is supposed to stand for. She went on to ask Cuccinelli: “So what do you think America stands for?”
    >“Well, of course that poem was referring back to people coming from Europe where they had class-based societies,” Cuccinelli, a one-time CNN political commentator, replied.

JFC they arent even attempting to hide the racism, bigotry and hate anymore. He basically said “we were only supposed to take white people!” like theres absolutely nothing wrong with that statement. Where the fuck did this guy come from?

  3. The weird thing is that these same conspicuous nazis would never have said any of this stuff even 2 years ago. What happened? I am not even sure these people are actually traditional racists. This is groupthink and scapegoating and it will end with many people getting murdered. The people that do it will wake up years later and wonder, how I could I have done that.

  4. I am pretty sure I was in elementary school with Kenny Cuccinelli, and he was known at the time for stealing everyone’s pencils. At one point in the school year the teacher asked him to open his pencil box, and it was brimming with the Ticonderoga #2s that everyone considered the best for the pencil battles.

  5. Funny, there was once a time where someone named Cuccinelli wouldn’t have been considered white and would have been treated the way he’s suggesting we treat immigrants now. His ancestors must be rolling in their graves. Though, I guess a few generations of privilege will do that to you.

  6. Give me your tired [Europeans], your poor [white people], Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free [that are only from Europe], The wretched refuse of your teeming shore [white refuse]. Send these [Europeans, preferably Western Europeans please], the homeless [white people], tempest-tossed [Europeans] to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door [but not for Mexicans and people who look like Mexicans]!

  7. What if the Terrorists were targeting Jews? Whoops already did that.

What if they flew swastikas? Done.

So are going to wait around for ICE to round up Jews and place them in the “nazi death camps? Whoops detention centers?

I’m leaving the country when they come for Antifa, as we are living in a modern Nazi State.

  8. I know this are just “code” for white supremacy however if we look to the past, any time a new ethnic group of any sort comes in large numbers to the US they are met with derogatory names and looked down (like the Irish and the Italians). Those Europeans were accused of stealing the jobs and bringing diseases and crime. It is all a form of bigotry and elitism.

  9. I guess that’s technically true. The poem for the people from Africa was, “Give us your tired, your weak, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free… and we’ll work them to death in cotton fields as we literally buy and sell them and their families.”

  10. I’m dealing with it now at work. Conservatives who say racist things to me or roll their eyes at corporate initiatives around diversity. Since Trump was elected, they’ve decided they can just say this stuff now.

  11. It’s hilarious how these people want to modify or change parts of our history and culture… but if anyone wants to do anything about the 2nd amendment made over two centuries ago, suddenly they lose their friggin minds.
