  2. Remember when Trump used 9/11 and terrorism to justify banning people from Muslim-majority countries that had nothing to do with 9/11? Now it turns out he was set to invite a group involved with 9/11, USS Cole Bombing, the 1998 Embassy Bombings, et al., to the US, for the very anniversary of the Twin Towers attacks! Um, what in the hell? Also, can we rescind the Muslim ban now?

  3. What does the Taliban have to do with 9/11?

Edit: Idiots downvoting clearly don’t know that the Taliban and Al-Qaeda are not the same thing and Al-Qaeda was the one responsible for 9/11. Stay in school, kids.

Not only did people think the two groups were the same, they also lack reading comprehension skills and continue to move the goal posts because they didn’t bother to read the article.

  4. Justin Amash knows that Al Qaeda and the Taliban are different right? And the 9-11 was committed by Al Qaeda and not the Taliban right?

Maybe I can explain it in a way Amash can understand….
If some Amish burn down your barn while they were living with Mennonites, you can still negotiate with the Mennonites on the anniversary of your barn burning.

  5. This Camp David meeting story is just another cover-up for Trump’s rapidly worsening dementia. The real story is that Trump was about to get owned by Putin by accepting a terrible Russian brokered deal with the Taliban.

His dementia is only going to get worse. He isn’t going to make it to election night before it becomes too severe to hide. I mean, his handlers are already having trouble hiding it.

  6. This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original]( reduced by 75%. (I’m a bot)
    > Rep. on Sunday denounced for inviting Taliban leaders to Camp David for peace talks just days before the anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

    > "How about we end the war without inviting the Taliban to dinner on the week of 9/11?" Amash, an Independent who left the GOP earlier this year, said on Twitter after Trump announced that he'd canceled secret meetings with leaders of the Taliban and Afghanistan's president.

    > The president said on Twitter on Saturday that he was expecting to meet with leaders of the Taliban for what he described as "Very important peace talks" at Camp David.

  7. He just openly tweeted about inviting terrorists to negotiate with them at Camp David— *on the eve of 9/11*.

Or even worse there was no meeting/invitations and he is just making it up and trying to make himself look tough.

  8. I’m all for blasting Trump, but let’s not forget that it wasn’t the Taliban that attacked us on 9/11. It was mostly Saudi individuals, funded by Saudi groups.

You know, the guys Trump insists on selling advanced arms to.

    Because money.

  9. Congrats to Poland on the anniversary of the Nazi invasion! Great people on both sides. In fact, we brought Nazis back.

Also, congrats to the Taliban on the anniversary of 9-11 and for their contributions to the attacks. Incidentally we are bringing radical Musilims back to the US.

    The winning is exhausting.
