  2. Trump ordered people in his administration to LIE to the American people. To cover for his LIE. And these people didn’t stand up for what was right and call him out, they went along with it. Fuck Trump, and fuck those that enable him and go along with his lies. And fuck each and every congressional republican for failing to stand up to him. Profiles in Cowardice.

  3. This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://www.bostonglobe.com/news/nation/2019/09/11/trump-ordered-noaa-statement-supporting-his-inaccurate-claim-about-alabama-and-dorian/swGv8sod549vmk5C5cyD9K/story.html) reduced by 84%. (I’m a bot)

    > The NOAA statement on Sept. 6 admonished the Birmingham division for speaking ''in absolute terms'' when it tweeted Alabama would ''NOT see any impacts from #Dorian.

    > The House members are seeking answers to who ordered and helped draft the Sept. 6 statement, and whether Commerce Department or White House staff members were involved in threatening NOAA leadership in order to secure the statement.

    > In addition to the Science Committee's investigation, other groups are initiating probes into NOAA's decision to back Trump's claim that Alabama was at risk from Dorian despite contrary forecasts from its own scientists.

  4. Facts are relative now. Even verifiably wrong statements can be forced into becoming facts if certain people want them to. I bet Trump could get nasa to say gravity doesn’t exist if he accidentally said it in an offhand comment. It’s better than having anyone tell him he made a simple mistake.
