  2. >White House advisor Stephen Miller is facing increasing pressure to resign after new leaked emails showed him exchanging links to white nationalist websites with a Breitbart editor.

    >The House Progressive Caucus, Congressional Black Caucus, Congressional Hispanic Caucus, and Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus all issued a joint statement on Thursday also urging Miller to resign.

    >”It’s clearer than ever that Stephen Miller is a far-right white nationalist with a racist and xenophobic worldview. His beliefs are appalling, indefensible, and completely at odds with public service,” the statement read.
A trove of emails leaked to the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Hatewatch project showed Miller exchanging white nationalist emails and ideas with former Breitbart editor and reporter Katie McHugh.

This guy is indefensible, and anyone who attempts to needs to truly question who they are as a moral human being.

That is, if they’re capable of that kind of introspection.

  3. This is absurd. The entire reason he is Trump’s advisor is *because* he is a white nationalist. It is the absolute height of silliness to pretend that these emails somehow reveal something new. No informed, reasonable person thought Miller *wasn’t* a virulent racist prior to the release of these emails.

I mean, obviously he should be gone, and if these emails allow people to pretend that Miller’s racism is a new discovery of some sort, that’s fine. But it has been exceedingly obvious for a very, very long time that Miller is a racist monster. I didn’t know of the existence of these emails, of course; but I knew everything that they show Miller to be. Stephen Miller is, and has been, a very, very, *very* bad guy.

    (Edited typos)

  4. His white nationalism is the reason why Trump hired him in the first place. Why the fuck would he resign for being a racist? He’s basically in charge of keeping Trump popular with racists, which in a way is the most important role in a Republican political operation.

  5. It’s sad that the normal people of this country, who are disgusted with the crew that trump (or rather the lesser goblins that do all trump’s actual work for him) brought together, had to go through the whole song and dance of obtaining actual firsthand written proof of miller’s white supremacy and ethnonationalism before anything like this could even begin to happen. It’s not like it wasn’t plainly evident from his words and actions before this. I’m so fucking sick of the slimy way that one single drop of deniability allows all of these snakes to wriggle free of any criticism. These are bad people acting and arguing in bad faith on every topic. They all must be expelled.

  6. This is the best tl;dr I could make, [original](https://www.businessinsider.com/stephen-miller-pushed-to-resign-over-white-nationalist-material-2019-11) reduced by 77%. (I’m a bot)

    > Senior White House advisor Stephen Miller is facing increasing pressure to resign from the White House after a bombshell report of leaked emails showed him exchanging links to white nationalist websites with a Breitbart editor.

    > In September 2015, Miller sent McHugh links to stories from V-Dare, an anti-immigration website that pushes the "White replacement" theory, about how Hurricane Patricia could result in Mexican nationals seeking temporary protected status in the US. And in a July 2015 phone conversation, Miller encouraged McHugh to cite an article from another white nationalist publication, the American Renaissance, regarding DOJ crime statistics that separated Hispanics and whites, McHugh told HateWatch.

    > Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez calls Stephen Miller a 'bonafide white nationalist' and demands he resign after emails appear to show he promoted white nationalist ideas to Breitbart.

  7. I’m sick of people being able to just resign, wait until shit dies down, and then come back later. Resignation seems like a “get out of jail” card. Lock them all up. If we did that with Nixon and the shit show that was the 80s these guys couldn’t come back 10-20 years later to continue to fuck more shit up.

  8. No way this rat resigns. He gets off on being contrarian and hated. If trump doesn’t succumb to pressure and tweet-fire him (unlikely), he’s around for the duration. Hell he may be chief of staff ~~if~~ when Mulvaney is tweet-fired
