    So it’s not a Confederate monument, it’s a monument to the Confederacy. Old, not historical, just there to glorify something best left in the past.

  2. I honestly don’t know why we need statues, monuments or anything physical put up to remind us of something so fucking horrible. Just keep it in the history books to teach children that we weren’t always the best so they can learn what not to be like when their older.

  3. Am I the only one who gets a kick out of the fact that they lost to the United States but call themselves the United Daughters? Did they think being a Confederacy of Daughters would be ineffective?

  4. If they want Confederate statues, how about also putting statues of Benedict Arnold, the Rosenburgs, Adam Yahiye Gadahn, and Robert Hanssen.

    Then put up a sign: **”Memorial to Treason”**
